Oh, Texas.

I used to live in Texas and while I adored my time there, this doesn't make me want to go back. Not at all. $*(^Y*& censorship.

This is just disheartening.

It sucks that they had to disinvite her, but I had to laugh at the line "what horrible and scary things does [she] write about?" at the end of their post. I really hope it was sarcastic. The one Hopkins book I tried to read I only made a quarter of the way through. It was so disturbing. I don't think she should be banned, but really, she does write about some gruesome stuff.

That's just a damn shame! Banned Books Week can't happen soon enough. Those people need to be reminded of free speech, etc., et al... Like they would listen anyway!

Hey! For some reason, this embedded comment form makes most people click twice before the comment is processed and published. It's not you - it's just that it's a new Blogger feature with kinks and all that. (But I adore it and don't wanna get rid of it!) I removed Captcha to make the process easier. You don't have to rewrite the comments twice; just click on SUBMIT twice and it should work. If not, email me. Thanks! -Steph
