Seriously, I think it's one of my favorites ever. It's the paperback version of The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson, which I loved and reviewed last year. What I like about this is that the hardcover cover art reflected on the humanity aspect of this novel, whereas this new cover is its scientific side. Very effective change of scenery. I think I'm actually going to pick one of these up myself--even though I already own the hardcover. See? Pretty + love = Steph spending $$$ (could this count as an alliteration?).
The blurb: In the not-too-distant future, when biotechnological advances have made synthetic bodies and brains possible but illegal, a seventeen-year-old girl, recovering from a serious accident and suffering from memory lapses, learns a startling secret about her existence.
It really is quite good.

How gorgeous is THIS cover?

It is very cool. :) I prefer this cover much more than the hardcover. I didn't read it so I don't know which on fits best with the story. I'd imagine this one unless the butterfly on the HC played a role in the book....?
Hmm. I loved it too, but this cover doesn't really do anything for me. I think it's the colors. I don't like the bright/shining blue color.
gorgeous!
Maybe once I read the book I can enjoy it more but just looking at it without knowing anything.... erm no thanks.
I love the old cover--but you're right--this one is perfectly accurate to the book, just on the other side.
I adore this book: it's probably one of the top five books I've read in five years.
The hardcover is much more my style; this is freaking me out. But it's really awesome. It's definitely intriguing and makes no secret that The Adoration of Jenna Fox is science fiction.
I love the implication of the puzzle pieces not quite coming together yet.
It's gorgeous!
Dottie :)
I think I prefer this one to the hardcover cover. It's really pretty and having read the book, it fits really well.
I think I like this cover better (although I adored both covers). I think it is more original and eye-catching.
I would buy the paperback version, but I own the hardcover and to be honest, I wouldn't buy two copies of the same book :) Although I can understand why you would want to own both versions.

I really do think this cover fits way better than the first.
I love both covers equally. The idea of this one is really cool but the colour kinda ruins it.
I like the hardcover more but this one is nice too. I need to read this one. I have it, but so little time for any reading. Taking these summer classes was a good idea, right? I fell like I need to be reminded of that. lol
Very pretty!
Requesting from library right now based on this post and cover. I'd heard the book was good, but this put me over the edge.
I can't decide which I like more, the HC or PB cover. They're both gorgeous and both really capture the book. Mary Pearson is a lucky author!
Wow, this looks beautiful! And the premise sounds great (I'm really into sci fi) so I'll have to check it out for sure. =)
I lurve the book and this is one AMAZING cover! If I end up buying it, I'm goin' for this cover. Hands down. THIS IS GORGEOUS.
OMG I LOVE IT!!! That is an awesome cover. I may buy the paperback too, lol. I literally gasped when I saw it. Thanks for showing it off! I didn't even know they were changing the cover.
Not to judge a book by its cover...but...that is a very cool cover. And it sounds like a cool concept that's right up my alley. Nice!
oh, and to add to my previous comment...while I like the concept, the previous cover actually turned me off on even looking for more info. I hate to admit that covers actually compel interest....but I am much more intrigued by the puzzle version than the butterfly version.
I love this cover so much more than the HB version!
I think I like the hardcover version a little more, but this one is SO cool too.
I loved the first cover, but this has some extra draw. I really like it because not only does it show how Jenna's body was pieced together but how she had to piece together her memories and her personality.
I love the new cover, though the original was fine too.
Artful.
It is gorgeous. Well I think I'll have to wait and buy the PB. Thankyou for making this known. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who owns two copies of books because of the different covers-- I had to buy the PB of I Know It's Over when I already had the HC.
I read this book this year and it is amazing. I loved it and the new cover is gorgeous
What an amazing cover! I'm like you; even though I own the hardcover, I'd buy it again!
