Win a Copy of Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King!

Remember my very last OMGZPOSITIVE review of 2008? For the fabulous The Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King?

Yes? Awesome :)

No? Well, here's what it's about:

In the late 17th century, famed pirate Emer Morrisey was on the cusp of escaping pirate life with her one true love and unfathomable riches when she was slain and cursed with the dust of 100 dogs. Three hundred years later, after one hundred lives as a dog, she returned to a human body—with her memories intact. Now she's a contemporary American teenager, and all she needs is a shovel and a ride to Jamaica.

It's also gotten positive reviews at Jen Robinson's Book Page and bookshelves of doom.

You want to win a copy? Simply head over to Ms King's blog and enter. But be quick, cos you only have 25 hours from 10pm EST to enter!

Official rules:

You have 25 hours (from 10PM EST) to construct one sentence of fiction, 25 words long, about anything you like. (Please be reasonable, and stay on the upper side of classy, thanks.) Keep in mind what you think makes a good sentence in fiction. Take care stacking your words.

Go enter!

On a random note, doesn't A.S. King hold the best contests?

May I ask a completely random question? (Well, make that two questions). I've been wondering about the "il primo" and "il secondo" for a while; do you study/speak Italian?

OH Alessandra meant to tell you CF is getting your book out to you this week :) I suppose this isn't the best forum in which to tell you but there you have it.

It's just how the layout came. I'm contemplating changing it to "main crap" and "other crap" respectively but I fear that might be a bit too...quirky. And in any rate, I speak Portuguese and Spanish, so this is a reminder that I need to learn Italian to come to a full circle with the sister languages.

Hey! For some reason, this embedded comment form makes most people click twice before the comment is processed and published. It's not you - it's just that it's a new Blogger feature with kinks and all that. (But I adore it and don't wanna get rid of it!) I removed Captcha to make the process easier. You don't have to rewrite the comments twice; just click on SUBMIT twice and it should work. If not, email me. Thanks! -Steph
