What '09 Book Is Your #1?

Okay I'm late for getting ready for a party, so no bookish Amaze Me post like I intended. Instead, we get a question!

What 09 book do you want the most? If you already have your number one choice, mention that and pick another one you don't have!

Wish me luck, y'all. I'm gonna need it.

Evermore is my number one, but I'm looking forward to a bunch of books (like Eyes Like Stars and Silver Phoenix).

Err...gosh. I'm looking forward to Forest of Hands and Teeth, City of Glass, and As You Wish quite a lot. But I'd prolly have to say City of Glass the most.

City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. I'm already excited and it won't be published until March!

My number one: Along For the Ride - Sarah Dessen. I have a crapload of other books I'm dying to read in '09 though, some of them being: Twenty Boy Summer (Sarah Ockler), Lipstick Apology (Jennifer Jabaley), Wings (Aprilynne Pike), Something Maybe (Elizabeth Scott), and This Is What I Want to Tell You (Heather Duffy Stone). :]

I'd say Evermore, since I already have If I Stay by Gayle Forman and Willow by Julia Hoban (which were the other 2 I REALLY wanted haha)

I'm not holding my #1 in my hands yet so I will be mum until then, then I'll get all OMG! A few others I'm looking forward to are Going Too Far (thanks to you for sharing info about this book!), TMI, and Breathing, Evermore and Beautiful Americans (sorry I can't list just one) . I'm also looking forward to lots of paperback versions of books coming out! Yay for drooling over books!

Hope you have fun at your party!

Just one? Man, that's tough. But I'll go with The Vampire Diaries: Nightfall by L. J. Smith, partly for sentimental reasons, since I loved the original series when I was younger.

Breathing and Wintergirls are definitely up there =)

Starclimber by Kenneth Oppel!

Since I can't count the book John Green is co-writing as it hasn't even been ANNOUNCED yet, I have my eyes set on any book by Elizabeth Scott. She's awesome and I love her work like BURNING.

Oh, wow. Well I received four of the books yesterday that were on by list, whihc includes Willow by Julia Hoban (I'm reading it right now, yay!), Because I am Furniture by Thalia Chaltas, If I Stay by Gayle Forman and WIntergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson. But I really want Along for the Ride because Sarah is of course amazing and also my favorite author. I also want Fade, Love You Hate You Miss You, Something, Maybe by Elizabeth Scott. PD10, and some others.

There are so many that I am excited about but my number 1 would have to be Along For the Ride by Sarah Dessen!

I'm waiting for the paperback edition of Cassandra Clare's City of Ashes, Jim Butcher's Turn Coat, and Paul Malmont's Jack London in Paradise.

There's a lot, so I'll keep it as brief as possible. I already have Beautiful Americans, which isn't my #1, but it's up there, esp. after reading that one review you and I talked about, lol. Anyway, the rest:

Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard
Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson (someone needs to tell me how to get this book because I WANT IT)
Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
As You Wish by Jackson Pearce
Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

and of course a bunch of others cuz I'm greedy like that, lol.

My number one: The Forest of Hands of Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Brilliantly written and perfectly set to hit the YA market and have cross-over appeal into the horror/adult market too.

My other number one: Eon: Rise of the Dragon Eye by Alison Goodman - if you are in NY over Xmas and NY, watch out for the advert in Times Square on the big screens. It's been released as an adult novel here in the UK but is being marketed YA in the States - absolutely brilliant with a richly created world and a unique heroine. The website is: Check it out. Totally worth it!

Liz - I have Eon here :) I should get to it sometime soon...!
