Anti-Twilight People, Have I Got The Link For You.

http://kadath.livejournal.com/692700.html

Hahaha, good times.

For the record, I am neither anti-Twilight or Twilight-obsessed. If the Twilight analysis thing wasn't as overdone as it is now, with a zillion 1-star Amazon reviews, copious amounts of blog posts, and even NaNoWriMo Group Forum topics congregating self-proclaimed haters of the series (yes), I'd probably post my own take on it. By now, though, it'd just be overkill. I just hope Breaking Dawn gives the reader some satisfaction.

Anyway, that link is supremely funny and very insightful. Enjoy!

Wow, I find it hard to believe people will go to such lengths to express their hate for something. Such a waste of energy in my opinion.

Wouldn't their time have been better used writing something of that length about a book they loved?

You know, I loved Twilight when I first read it, but the more I think about it, the more I dislike it. I think I'm gonna reread the series in preparation for Breaking Dawn and for review purposes (possibly, although I find that it would be pointless as everyone has heard of it by now and read it) and I'll see if I like it.

I don't know, I'm still excited for Breaking Dawn.

Twilight, to me, is so weird because it was this random ARC I picked up, enjoyed, and rec'd to my fellow vamp fans . . . and now it's this huge sensation, but I still think of it in small terms.

AHAHA

Love it. Wish I read that before I read that stupid book.

Bella IS self-centered and stupid. I hated her almost as soon as I finished the first chapter. I only liked Edward when he was mean to her. Once he admitted he liked her, it all went to s**t.

Sigh. 2 selfish, egocentric people. perfect for each other, no?

It's great to know that people feel the same way about these books as I do. I never liked the books, but I didn't mind them that much at first. What bothers me is people considering them great literature. I'm glad to see this, I was beginning to fear for the future of the human race.

omg no no one is the only one in hating this poor pathetic excuse for a vampire novel i despise it with all my being

I'm proud to actually be an Anti-Twilight person because there's no utter point to the story. It goes on for several pages of nothing other than explaining Bella's day or her depression, despite that she's a Mary Sue, whereas her boyfriend Ed is a Gary Stu and the only good thing about him puts vampires to shame: The sparkles. WHERE did this come from? When reading it, I was just waiting for alucard to come in and shoot him in the head, and yes, it would work, because Alucard has bullets specialy designed to kill vampires. Lestat would just shake his head in shame. Selene...well I can't say much for her since she became a hybrid by the end of Underworld Evolution. Then there's the fact that Bella resembles a lot of Stephanie Meyer. Another Mary Sue sighting. I'm just saying my opinions. :/

I am anti-twilight
Its not the books I dislike, they are actually quite funny....I don't think though I would ever hate them so strongly if Stephanie Meyer wasn't such a pompous idot.

I am so happy they make these type of links for stupid books like this.

Anti-Twilight and proud.

In all fairness, I attempted to read one chapter. I couldn't do it. So, I resorted to Google and Wiki.

I'm sorry, but a vamp that doesn't kill/exsanguinate has no place in existence, either fictional or literal.

To put it bluntly: Count Duckula is a far more interesting creation that Stephanie Meyers' abominations.

I hated all the hype about twilight. It was just one of those movies that girls only say is good because they think edward cullen is such a hottie. Not quite. Anyway, I sat down and watched the movie and thought in was asinine, juvinile, a down right STUPID. This women who wrote twilight obviously didn't do her research on vampires. Worst vampire movie ever. After watching it i just cracked jokes at it.

Ok people, these are the facts..... Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking dawn are THE best vampire books EVERE written. So shut up and go away u crazy twilight haters. (No Offence)

I will admit it: I could not get into twilight.
It's just not for me. I don't hate the books, I just hate the obsession over it. It's annoying and downright frightening. Some people are CRAZY for these books. It's worrysome. Anyway, I think a book should be taken in with open-mindness and not enclosed obsession. Twilight appeals to some, is boring and pointless to others. Some of us are neutral about the books. We should all at least respect that concept.

Hello, Everyone at my school (hysterical girls) have gone twilight-mad. This link made me feel so elated, I'm not the only one who thinks Twilight is a disgrace! Harry Potter is a timeless classic, whereas Twilight is a soppy love story that forces ideas into girls heads like "i need a boyfriend to live" and "I'm nothing without my boyfriend" and "Sexism is ok if he's hot" and "suicide is normal" WTF??!!??!! Hp 4-EVA!!!!!

Has anybody else noticed that all the hate mail from the Twilight-lovers are spelled very sloppily and they use the "computer-speak", i.e., "u" instead of "You", "r" instead of "are" etc.
It's a sign of mediocrity.
No offence to all the people who like Twilight who are perfectly normal, although I would deeply question your taste in books.
Long story short, one CANNOT compare Twilight to Harry Potter, really. The Harry Potter series are successful and they translate well to screen. Also, the Harry Potter books are appropriate for all ages, whereas Twilight "deals" with some serious issues such as Suicide, although I wouldn't say that Meyer dealt with it very well. The Twilight series also imprints upon teenage and pre-pubescent girls that "A boyfriend is all they need and they are nothing without one", which is a horrible thing to instill in a girl. Girls should be confident in themselves to achieve success. Also, Bella and Edward's so called relationship is actually abusive. Edward uses scare tactics to control Bella (threatening of suicide), he limits her ability to go wherever she wants (taking the motor out of her car) and denies her sex saying that "She is not ready", even though Bella is over 16 years of age and would be perfectly capable of deciding when she was ready or not to have sex. He even denies how far or deep they can kiss. He also denies her friendship with other people who are not like him (Jacob and other werewolves). When Bella becomes involved in a relationship with Edward, she pushes away her previous friends, forgets any previous hobbies and generally becomes obsessed with Edward and Edward alone.
Personally, I think that Twilight is massively overrated. I think that it is very sad about how many people are convinced that their very own Edward will come for them and save them from their apparently Horrid (i.e. Edward-less) lives.
Also, what I think is annoying is how the Twilight Lovers attack the Twilight Haters. Not literally (at least I hope). I should think that if they are allowed to worship Twilight like some strange cult, Anti-Twilight people should be allowed to hate it in peace.
That's all.

ive always hated and still hate twilight because about every single girl is brain washed in it and woun't stop talking about it (like Edward is so hot and everything). I'm fine with harry potter and everything but twilight is just horrible and everything. i have not read the book and i will never (i hope) start to read it. 1. Because I'm shear that when i start am not going to stop reading it. I believe it brainwashes everyone! i have christen friends that read it and the hate it when harry potter or any other magical book comes to conversation.
T-T im glad there are other people how think the same.
(oh and Mikayla Jane ur so right!)
